The 36th edition of the Tour of the Gila will take place April 26 – April 30, 2023. This is one of the most challenging stage races in North America.

Important Information for Men 1,2

The Tour of the Gila organizers are honored to have worked for the past 36 years to put on a challenging and rewarding stage race.  We coordinate a men’s and women’s UCI event that we feel is equal to many of the international professional stage races and we promote multiple amateur categories that allow athletes to test their skills on the same courses that the Pros race. We also take great pride in the fact that we offer a race that helps aspiring athletes to gain experience to move careers forward, be that to compete internationally or just move up a category. So, it is with great disappointment, we must announce that due to so few riders registered that it is not economically possible, nor would it make for a great race, we are forced to cancel our Men 1,2 race.

We are VERY positive on cycling in the US, both now and for the future, and the quality of the fields in our UCI races and other categories proves that. For varying reasons, including Speedweek scheduled the same week, it is only with the Men 1,2 race that we face this issue, and we hope to see the interest renewed for 2024. We understand any disappointment because we share the feeling.
