Rowan, Asa and Orion Child are up and coming athletes in the domestic road racing scene. After the three brothers all landed on the podium of the Men 2, 3 race at the Tyrone Individual Time Trial presented by Freeport McMoRan in 2024, Tour of of the Gila snagged them to get their story.

During the interview gave ahead of the Downtown Criterium presented by Silver City, they met Race Co-Director Jack Brennan and discuss their passion for mountainous stage races and their rigorous preparations for U.S. Road Nationals, which fell on the calendar just a couple weeks after Tour of the Gila 2024. (Rowan already has two Junior National Championship titles under his belt.)

The Child brothers finished Tour of the Gila 2024 in third, fourth and fifth on the GC of the Men 2, 3 race. Orion Child finished 7:43 back, claiming a spot on the podium, while brothers Asa and Rowan had times within 30 seconds of him.
