Southwest New Mexico would like to extend our warmest welcome to all teams, racers and their family members, and officials.

If you are new to the Tour of the Gila, we hope you will enjoy your first race in the Silver City/Grant County area.

If you are among the many returning competitors then you already know about the challenges that await you. We also hope you know about the hospitality you may expect here. It is one of the reasons we get so many riders returning annually.

Please pay respect to local residents, volunteers, corner marshals, technical support staff, etc…. They all donate their time to make this event happen. Don’t be afraid to thank them.

UCI Races (5-Day Stage Race)

The UCI Men and UCI Women fields take on five stages at Tour of the Gila: an Individual Time Trial, two Road Races, the Downtown Criterium, and a final Road Race. These races are part of the UCI America Tour calendar and USA Cycling’s Pro Road Tour calendar, bringing top-level teams and some of the best racing of the week.

Amateur Races (3- and 4-Day Stage Races)

Sanctioned by USA Cycling, the amateur stage races are for athletes who want to experience a full stage race but are not part of a team invited to the UCI races. The 3- and 4-day races have an overall General Classification competition plus dedicated GC opportunities for masters riders.

4-day Race: Thursday through Sunday, April 30 – May 3, 2026

• Men 1,2: General Classification + special GC competition for Men 40+

• Men 3: General Classification + special GC competition for Men 40+

• Entry Fee: $240 (same price as 2025)

3-day Race: Friday through Sunday, May 1 – May 3, 2026
Categories:

• Women 1,2,3,4: Overall General Classification + special GC competition for Women 35+, 45+, 55+
• Men 4,5 & Master Men 1,2,3,4 (40+): Overall General Classification + special GC competition for Men 50+, 60+, 70+
• Entry Fee: $180 (same as 2025)

Citizen Races

The Citizen Fun Races are designed for people who want to join the competition without needing a USA Cycling license. These events are perfect if you want a shorter challenge, you are in town watching the UCI races, or you are coming out to support a friend or family member racing in the pro or amateur fields.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday, May 2 & 3, 2026
